Blood Tests
Our in-house diagnostic equipment allows us to conduct comprehensive blood tests, offering detailed insights into your pet's health. By analyzing the chemical components in your pet’s blood, we can identify deficiencies or dysfunctions in specific organs, providing crucial information about your pet’s immune system.
We welcome vet referrals and are happy to assist with any blood tests needed to ensure your patient’s health and peace of mind.
Our comprehensive range of diagnostic tests, including:
- CBC tests for overall health assessment.
- Biochemistry and haematology panels to screen for liver, kidney, and hormonal disorders.
- Rapid SNAP and ELISA tests for quick diagnosis of diseases like tick fever, heartworm, FELV, FIV, and more.
- Cytology exams to detect infections.
- Urine tests for bacteria culture and stone/crystal analysis.
Blood tests are typically performed at the following times:
- First vet visit: To rule out congenital diseases, establish baseline health information, and for pre-anesthetic testing.
- Yearly health check-ups: As part of routine precautionary measures and vaccine boosters.
- When your pet is acting abnormally: To diagnose underlying health issues.
- Pre-surgical exams: To assess liver and kidney function, which influences the appropriate anesthesia dosage.
